Shortstop Emcee

My newest project with 'Sunny In Death Valley' has hit the ground. SLEEPWALK IT OUT is our first effort together and we'll be expanding with more material in the near future. SIDValley was Chris Lopez's solo work as a musician and singer and before I mixed in. You can expect an interesting recipe of sound to say the least.

It's actually been pretty active with music production here in the Newsmoke Garage. A few of the boys came by to lay some vocals. In my last post I mentioned checking out Shudder, a streaming service dedicated mainly to scary movies. Known titles such as Halloween 4 and New Nightmare are featured among platform original series and documentaries. Nick S (Photo: Michael Butorovich) Thanks to the homie Nick Steelhead I have full access to all the blood and gore involved, which I took advantage of by starting "Crystal Lake Memories" a feature that takes you through the entire history of Friday the 13TH....in nearly seven hours. The run time is actually 6:40:13 - If we ignore the 40 minute bracket we then have June 13TH, the date in the film where the deeply aggravated Mrs.Vorhees created a crime scene out of a summer camp and spilled out what we know as the slasher flick. I watched a little over an hour of this last night and plan to regiment it into a viewing schedule so I can write about it. In other things away from landmark horror I'd like to introduce another character to our saga.

An old friend of mine would test people who got into his car for the first time by playing some form of metal through the stereo. He knew he'd never get along with them if they couldn't handle it. I remembered that little fact as I chose to use a song from Cradle Of Filth to break the ice on this blog. Fuck it, I might as well use a second number. This EP "From the Cradle To Enslave" was the first thing I bought from Cradle Of Filth; from then on I was corrupted into supporting them. Speaking of support, it's nice to see you've dropped in and stayed for this long! Obviously, the music and  prose hasn't turned you away, and for that, as your host, I am pleased.
